User Guide for:

The Forums

The Linux Mint forum [5] will help you get support and help from other users. Important news announcements are also posted over there and this is where the community gathers most of the time, not only for support but to talk about development, ideas, artwork and anything related to Linux Mint.

The Blog & the Planet

The Development team regularly publishes news updates on the Linux Mint Blog [6]

The Linux Mint Planet [7] gathers news from different blogs around the Web which are related to Linux Mint.

IRC

If you are using Linux Mint, you can launch XChat-Gnome from the "Internet" section of your menu and it will automatically connect to the Linux Mint chat room. Bear in mind that this chat room is not always active and that most people who are connected aren't always looking at their chat clients. Ask a question your question and if you don't get an answer right away, just leave your xchat window open. Most IRC users launch Xchat-Gnome when they log in, let it run in the background, and give it a look now and then to see who's there and what's going on. If somebody answers you he/she will probably write your name in the answer. This will make your xchat icon in your system tray blink, thus alerting you to their reply.
