No boot on Macbook

I found out about Linux Mint and I like the idea of a Ubuntu with some added extras. I burned a Linux Mint 2.0 cd and tried to boot it on my Macbook (starting up holding down C). It ran the cd but just continued to boot OS X. I've booted Ubuntu dapper drake on the macbook before so I don't know whats wrong.

Hi,

I never got my hands on a macbook and have no idea what's in it or how they work.. they look cool though :)

Did Edgy work on that machine ? Is it based on a x86 architecture or is it ppc ?

Hi

the macbook is on intel ergo x86 architecture. The old ibooks and powerbooks run powerpc processors (PPC)
