Would like to have the Linux program "Cinelerra"

Post by FulciLives »

I've heard many good things about the Linux program called "Cinelerra" yet I could not find it in any of the software repositories.

I am afraid that I am not up to the task of doing a "compile from source code install" ... never did that ... and with the software repositories ... hoping I never will have to do that. Although I've been around computers since I was a young teenager (I am now 35) I am new to Linux and my only use of the "terminal" is in copy and paste mode when following a (very detailed) guide like those found on the Ubuntu site (had to use that to help with my Nvidia setup under Linux Mint 3.0).

Anyways ... for those that don't know anything about Cinelerra here is a link:

In short Cinelerra is the Linux "equivalent" to Adobe Premiere or Sony VEGAS etc.

I find the program's GUI is quite confusing ... But OK, maybe you have more luck? :D
