vander, let me give you some info for the SuperGrub LiveCD. This is worth to download the ISO and burn to a CD.

Just about any Grub/MBR problems can be easily fixed with this amazing CD. Most of the threads here related to Grub could be resolved using this and eliminating many, many posts in these forums. No, you don't need to know any commands in a terminal, It has nice menu's to choose your options, even if one has not ever used it before, it is a breeze to navagate the menu's.

I was just thinking that maybe some Mint users do not know of this CD, or maybe they know of it but have never downloaded it and tried to use it. To me, I always have a feeling of satisfaction if I can resolve problems myself. Below are it's features:


Gnu/Linux:
* Fix Boot of Gnu/Linux (GRUB)
* Boot Gnu/Linux
* Boot Gnu/Linux Directly

Advanced Gnu/Linux:
* (BETA!) Fix Boot of Gnu/Linux (LILO)
* Boot Gnu/Linux partition

Windows:

GRUB:
* Boot your Linux or another OS again
* Restore GRUB to a hard disk MBR

Boot another OSs:

* Swap hard disks and boot

Even if you do not get the time for using it now, I recommend taking the time later and check it out.......

You may be able to, it will not hurt anything by trying the SuperGrub disk. But now it may be just as good to reinstall Mint 3.0. Mint is very very good at recognizing other operating systems and it only takes about 15 min to reinstall. But do a bak-up of your personal Mint data first. This is what I would do.

If you want to save Mint because you have to many things set up the way you want, then I would wait for someone to help you to get the other operating systems to show up.
