These four updates - all ranked 3 in mintUpdate - are my current four suspects in the case of Who Killed My Sound.
As I said in a previous thread, I had no sound. After a fresh install, I decided to allow for all updates except for those involving sound or video codecs. My sound is now working just fine.
I don't know if anyone else has had duplicate effects, but I thought a warning was necessary, just to be on the safe side.
UPDATE Ok I installed each one, one by one, re-booting each time, and my sound is still fine. I guess something got loaded improperly the first time I installed Dayna, but installed fine on the second install. So nothing to see here, move along.

Re: WARNING - Possible malicious updates
Quite probable.
Category 3 are updates that are not tested and not known to be neither malicious nor benign

Re: WARNING - Possible malicious updates
I updated my Linux Mint XFCE computer and those files were part of the update. Now my computer won't even turn on. I get a blinking orange light on the monitor.
