Error in trying to open...

Post by tenfoot »

Occasionally I get the following error when trying to open an application.

Could not grab your mouse.

A malicious client may be eavesdropping on your session or
you may have just clicked a menu or some application just
decided to get focus.

Try again.

The most recent occurrence was a few minutes ago when I clicked on Package Manager.

It still happened after a reboot.

Would someone kindly tell me what generatres this error and, more importantly, how I can prevent it.

By memory this can occur by some unnecessary gnome updates which effect the mint menu. Not sure which ones.

Anyway, here's a fix

Thanks for prompt reply. I've noted the solution and will apply it next time the error occurs.
