Re: Virus from Windows Partition on Linux Mint?

Hello and welcome to the forum. If I catch a virus on windows, is it possible, that it moves also to the mint drive? Yes, but it would be harmless since it doesn't have execute permissions. My guess is if you gave it execute permissions and executed ...

Virus from Windows Partition on Linux Mint?

I have mint and windows on two different drives on my notebook. If I catch a virus on windows, is it possible, that it moves also to the mint drive? When I boot up mint, I can see the windows drive and would meet to eject it manually.

I have been wrestling with a major self-adapting virus in Win 10/11 for 10 months. It falls into the 10-20% of viruses that are not detectible by most AV software. Only Catchpulse flagged unsigned Win files attempting to get by. I have decided it ...

Re: Suspected worm on home network

I suspect that it is more likely to be a browser misdirect/hijack rather than a virus in Linux. They can be time consuming to get rid of. The first thing to do is to try a completely different Browser. If it is a hijack then you should see no signs of the previous ...
